I started teaching at Chapel Hill on August 2013 and have been working here for the past four years, going on my fifth with the district. I am currently the Spanish II teacher, ESL instructor and boys soccer Head Coach.
I married on January 2012 in Pittsburg Tx, my wife’s hometown. She is currently enrolled in school and working in the nursing program. We have an adorable three year old boy who is full of energy and joy. He is the only grandchild on the paternal side of the family so he is loved and spoiled. As big of a soccer fan that I am, I can’t wait to have him out on a field.
I’ve lived in Mt. Pleasant practically all my life. I am the oldest in a family of three children and the first in my family to attend college. I decided I wanted to come back after graduation and pursue my passion in soccer as a mentor. The sport has done so much for me and I want others to see the benefits it provides with hard work and dedication. Outside of school I work with young passionate soccer athletes to prepare them to play competitively. We are the first competitive soccer team of our kind in Mt. Pleasant and we are working to expand knowledge of the talent our town possesses. The last two years I’ve also worked with ALAS, a non-profit organization formed by a group of Latin Professionals in Titus County devoted to strengthening the Latino community through service, education and community events while celebration the diverse Latino culture. I am very grateful for all the challenges and opportunities that have opened before me and excited for what this year will bring!
